The most important words used in real-estate listings

In the world of real estate industry, as in any other industry, exist many terms and concepts. If you are buying a property or looking for a rental, you should be able to recognize their meaning. Atelier:
Atelier  in real estate it is an apartment with a single room. They are also known as single-room dwelling places or studio flats. A atelier apartment typically consists of one large room that serves as the combined living, dining, and bedroom.

Price map:
A price map is a map showing the price for one square metre of apartment in a certain part of Czech Republic.

Parcel number:
It is information indicating the plot in the cadastral area. Parcels are identified by numbers either in two numerical series, separately for land and building parcels or in one numerical series, regardless of the type of land.

Developer:
The development company finances, designs and organizes the construction of building.  Real estate agencies then take over individual housing units from developers and offer them to their clients.

Deposit:
A deposit is a financial amount that provides the lessor guarantee if the rent has not been paid properly. It is always paid at the beginning with the first rent and is usually equal to the sum of the monthly rent plus services.

Commercial real estate:
This is a unit that is designed primarily for offices and shops. However, some commercial properties can be converted into housing units.

Loggia:
A loggia, often incorrectly referred to as a balcony, is a covered space in a building, that is open to the outside from the front and side and separated only by columns, arcades, or railings. Unlike the balcony, it does not protrude from the perimeter wall.

Duplex apartment:
A duplex apartment is a housing unit on two floors.
Basement apartment:
Such a housing unit is characterized by the fact that it lies below the level of the surrounding terrain.
